Vision of the Ohio District 5 AAA

All 60+ individuals, from the well to the frail, will have the opportunity to choose from a wide spectrum of services that meet their needs. This will be accomplished through an area-wide network of knowledgeable, dedicated people with the guidance of the AAA, a highly visible organization serving as the area's leader for planning. Advocacy regarding senior issues will be a primary focus of the network helping to influence public policy. Public/private collaboration and informal caregiving will be encouraged and nurtured. Assessment of needs and coordination of services will be the key components. Alternatives for individuals will allow for client choice, be cost effective, and be the least restrictive. Individuals under age 60 with disabilities will be informed about appropriate resources.
